I got to visit Discount Fabrics, Lacis, Stonemountain and Daughter Fabrics, and Fabrix (can you tell that I mapped out where the closest fabric stores were to the sights Mike and I wanted to see?). I was really impressed by the variety of silk and linen that was available at reasonable prices. But my local Sewfisticated still wins on cotton prints and wools.
Here is the stuff I bought:
On the left some lightweight linen and on the right some heavy linen for interfacing
Some striped silk taffeta
Some blue silk taffeta (though it's a little thin)
A book on ribbon embellishments. Could be good for hats!
