I'm going to try to work on regular features for this blog in an effort to post more. First up: Textile Tuesdays, where I post about an extant garment, accessory, or fabric that I've found interesting and/or inspiring. I'm going to start with some examples of regency dresses made from dark ground cotton prints. We always think of regency gowns as being white, and many were. But darker cotton prints were also available and make for an interesting contrast.
